About the series
Monster Allergy (2004–2005) is a Dutch-Italian comic series published by Sanoma, best known for its whimsical blend of fantasy and everyday childhood anxieties. Created by writer Francesco Artibani and artist Alessandro Barbucci, the series follows a young boy who can see and interact with monsters hidden from ordinary sight, turning his allergy to everyday substances into a unique power. Though its original run produced no issues, the concept proved memorable enough to inspire a long-running animated adaptation and a legacy in European children's comics.
