About the series
In the late 1950s, French publisher Arédit-Artima launched Monde Futur, a 20-issue science-fiction comics anthology that ran from 1959 to 1960. The series gathered European and American talent, notably featuring the work of artists like Jean-Claude Forest, to present a mix of futuristic adventures and speculative tales. Though short-lived, Monde Futur is remembered as an early showcase for the kind of imaginative, adult-leaning SF that would later define the European bande dessinée scene.
