Miami Mice

From 1986 to 1987, Rip Off Press published Miami Mice, a four-issue comic series that blended anthropomorphic animal crime capers with a distinctly underground, irreverent sensibility. The series is most associated with writer-artist Mark Bodé, alongside co-writer Larry Todd, with notable artistic contributions from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman and Bill Fitts. Set in a seedy, rodent-populated Miami, the strip offered a gritty, comedic take on buddy-cop and noir tropes, reflecting the era's indie-comics energy.
