The Metal Men (1963–1964) from Mimosa Comics is a four-issue series that introduced a team of sentient, shape-shifting robots, each named after a different metal, who served as both adventurers and protectors. Created by a single, uncredited writer-artist, this short-lived but influential run established the concept of a family of artificial beings with distinct personalities—from the fiery lead of Platinum to the malleable Tin—exploring themes of identity and heroism in a sci-fi context.
