Mermaid Project

In a near-future Paris where bio-engineering and genetic manipulation have reshaped society, Mermaid Project (2015–present, Epsilon) weaves a science-fiction thriller centered on a clandestine government program involving hybrid human-mermaid creatures. Written primarily by Corine Jamar, Johanna Stehr, and Leo, with artwork by Fred Simon, the series explores themes of corporate power, ecological collapse, and identity through its atmospheric, detailed visuals. Though only a single issue has been released to date, the creative team’s pedigree in European sci-fi comics lends it a distinctive, thought-provoking edge.
