From 1987 to 1989, Dark Horse Comics published Mecha, a six-issue series written by Randy Stradley and illustrated by Harrison Fong. The comic explored a futuristic world of giant robotic suits and the pilots who controlled them, blending sci-fi action with a gritty, grounded tone. Though short-lived, the series stands as an early example of Dark Horse's willingness to publish original, creator-driven genre stories in the late 1980s.
