Meathaus
Meathaus · 2000–2003 · 8 issues
About the series
A scrappy, self-published anthology series that ran for eight issues between 2000 and 2003, Meathaus served as a proving ground for an emerging generation of alternative cartoonists. Spearheaded by writer and artist Zachary Baldus, the comic collected a rotating cast of contributors who blended surreal humor, grotesque imagery, and raw, experimental storytelling. Its DIY ethos and boundary-pushing content made it a cult touchstone for fans of offbeat, creator-owned comics during the early 2000s indie boom.
