Maxwell Mouse Follies

Joe Sinardi both wrote and illustrated this six-issue series from Renegade Press, which ran from 1986 to 1987. The title follows the theatrical misadventures of its rodent protagonist, combining whimsical slapstick with a distinctly independent press sensibility. Sinardi's solo creative control gives the book a cohesive, personal voice during the mid-80s alternative comics boom.
