Maverick

Set in the Old West, Maverick (1964–1965) from Classics/Williams brought the popular television gambler to comic-book form across 22 issues. Most frequently illustrated by the accomplished Dan Spiegle, the series followed the adventures of the charming, card-playing Bret Maverick as he traveled from town to town, often finding trouble despite his best efforts to avoid it. A solid, short-lived tie-in that captured the spirit of the TV show's blend of humor and action.
