Masquerade

Chris Royal and Jason Armstrong teamed up for this short-lived but distinctive series from Mad Monkey Press, launched in 1992. Masquerade blends superheroics with psychological intrigue, centering on a vigilante whose identity is a carefully guarded secret. Though only two issues were published, the series is remembered for Armstrong's moody, detailed art and Royal's taut, character-driven scripting, making it a cult curiosity from the early-90s indie boom.
