Marzi

Marzi, published by Panini Deutschland in 2012–2013, is a two-issue comic series that captures childhood memories from 1980s Poland through the eyes of its young protagonist. Written by Marzena Sowa with art by Sylvain Savoia, the series offers a gentle, slice-of-life perspective on growing up under the last years of communist rule. Its intimate, autobiographical approach makes it a quietly significant work, preserving a personal history of everyday life in a transforming Eastern Europe.
