About the series
In 2012, Marvel launched a seven-issue series directly inspired by the animated show, pairing Spider-Man with a rotating cast of teen heroes including Luke Cage, Nova, and Danny Rand. Artists Ty Templeton and Nuno Plati brought a lively, cartoonish energy to these team-ups, which balanced fast-paced action with the young heroes' banter and growing friendships. Though short-lived, the series captured the spirit of a younger, more team-oriented Spider-Man in the midst of the modern Marvel Universe.
