Marte Komiks

In the early 1950s, Marte Publications launched Marte Komiks, a 25-issue series that brought Filipino comics to a wide audience. This anthology showcased the talents of artists Ric Collado, Nestor Redondo, and Emil Quizon Cruz, whose work defined the energetic, illustrative style of the era. As an important early entry in the Philippine komiks industry, it helped establish a vibrant local tradition of serialized storytelling.
