About the series
Topps brought its irreverent Mars Attacks franchise to high school hallways in this 1997 two-issue series, written by Dwight Jon Zimmerman with art by Claude St. Aubin and Hugh Haynes. The story pits alien invaders against a most unexpected swashbuckling hero: Don Diego de la Vega, better known as Zorro, who must defend a school from the Martian menace. A playful crossover that blends pulp adventure with sci-fi comedy, it’s a zany, short-lived oddity in the Mars Attacks universe.
