Manga Mania

Launched by Dark Horse International in 1993, Manga Mania was a thirteen-issue magazine that served as a gateway to Japanese comics for English-speaking readers. The series featured a rotating lineup of translated manga chapters, including titles like Ghost in the Shell and Appleseed, alongside articles and interviews about the burgeoning manga scene. It played a key role in introducing Western audiences to the work of creators such as Masamune Shirow, helping to build the foundation for the manga boom of the late 1990s.
