About the series
In the late 1990s, Marvel revisited its swamp-born guardian of the Nexus of All Realities with an eight-issue series by writer J. M. DeMatteis and artist Liam Sharp. This run deepened the Man-Thing’s mythos, exploring his role as a sentient protector caught between worlds while delivering moody, psychological horror. DeMatteis and Sharp’s collaboration gave the character a haunting, introspective voice, making it a cult-favorite entry in the monster’s history.
