Magic Carpet

A short-lived but visually rich two-issue series from the independent publisher Comics and Comix, Magic Carpet (1977–1978) offered a collection of fantasy and science fiction tales. Writers Eric Vinicoff, Manuel Auad, and Marcia Martin contributed stories brought to life by a trio of artists including the legendary Filipino illustrator Alfredo P. Alcala, alongside Brent Anderson and Jim Pinkoski. Though it ran only two issues, the series stands as a snapshot of the late-70s small-press scene, showcasing diverse creative voices in a genre anthology format.
