About the series
In the late 1970s, Italian publisher Publistrip launched Maghella, a 140-issue series that fused horror, adventure, and the supernatural with a distinctly European flair. Written primarily by Furio Arrasich and illustrated by the dynamic duo of Averardo Ciriello and Dino Leonetti, the series followed its mysterious heroine through eerie, often macabre tales that stood out for their atmospheric art and mature storytelling. A key title in the Italian fumetti neri tradition, Maghella remains a cult favorite for its stylish, unflinching take on the occult and dark fantasy.
