Madam & Eve

Madam & Eve (1993–present) is a long-running South African comic strip from Jacana Media, chronicling the daily lives of a wealthy white employer and her resourceful Black domestic worker. Created by a trio of local talents—writer Stephen Francis and artists Rico Schacherl and Harry Dugmore—the series uses sharp, affectionate humor to explore race, class, and post-apartheid society.
