Mad Sucks

A short-lived, two-issue satire from Warner Books (1979–1981), Mad Sucks was a parody of the Mad magazine phenomenon itself, with the iconic Alfred E. Neuman look-alike cover art by frequent Mad contributor Norman Mingo. The series lampooned the very publication that made Mingo famous, offering a meta-commentary on the humor industry of the late 1970s. Though brief, it remains a curious footnote for fans of the original Mad and its extended family of imitators.
