M.D. Geist

In the mid-1990s, Central Park Media brought the violent, post-apocalyptic world of M.D. Geist to comics, adapting the original Japanese OVA into a three-issue miniseries. Writers and artists Koichi Ohata and Tim Eldred collaborated to translate the series' signature blend of cybernetic warfare and desolate sci-fi landscapes to the printed page. This short but punchy run offered fans a new way to experience the story of a super-soldier unleashed on a ruined planet, capturing the grim tone of the original animation. It stands as a niche but faithful artifact of the era's anime-to-comic crossovers.
