Lysistrata

Ralf König’s Lysistrata (1987–present, Rowohlt) is a single-issue comic that adapts Aristophanes’ classic anti-war comedy into König’s signature bawdy, queer-informed humor. The German cartoonist, known for his sharp satires of sexuality and society, reimagines the ancient tale of women withholding sex to end war as a raucous, contemporary farce.
