About the series
In 1991–1992, Malibu Comics published Lovecraft in Full Color, a five-issue series that adapted the eerie tales of H.P. Lovecraft into vivid, fully painted comic form. Writers Jim Korkis and Steven Philip Jones, alongside artists Dave Dorman and Octavio Cariello, brought a lush, atmospheric visual style to these classic horror stories, making them accessible to a new generation of readers. This series stands out as an early example of a creator-driven, prestige-format adaptation that treated Lovecraft's cosmic dread with serious, artistic ambition.
