Loose Teeth

Scott Musgrove and Brian Sendelbach’s Loose Teeth (1991–1994) was a three-issue Fantagraphics anthology that paired surreal, often absurdist short stories with a raw, underground-comix sensibility. Musgrove and Sendelbach handled both writing and art, filling its pages with bizarre characters and deadpan humor that felt both off-kilter and warmly familiar. Though brief, the series captured the early-’90s alternative comics spirit—unpredictable, personal, and unafraid to be weird.
