Long John Silver

Joe Gill wrote this two-issue comic series from L. Miller & Son, which ran from 1956 onward and adapted the classic pirate adventure. Artists Maurice Whitman and Bill Molno brought the swashbuckling world of treasure maps and sea battles to life. Though brief, it stands as a modest but early example of British comics mining literary classics for all-ages thrills.
