About the series
From 1976 to 1979, Egmont Ehapa published a short-lived but lively four-issue comic series featuring the Lone Ranger, the masked Western hero. Scripted primarily by veteran writer Paul S. Newman, the book's visuals were handled by a rotating team of artists including José Delbo, Hank Hartman, and Tom Gill, who brought a classic, energetic pulp style to the frontier. Though brief, the series stands as a distinctive European take on the iconic American character during the heyday of German comic publishing.
