Lobster Johnson

Set in the pulp-adventure era of the Hellboy universe, Lobster Johnson chronicles the costumed vigilante's 1930s exploits in a series of standalone, six-issue arcs from Dark Horse. Masterminded by Mike Mignola and primarily written with John Arcudi, the series channels the spirit of old-timey serials with a supernatural twist, as the claw-handed hero battles gangsters, cultists, and occult horrors. With art by Mignola, Sebastián Fiumara, and Tonči Zonjić, it's a vital, self-contained corner of the Mignolaverse that fleshes out its shadowy, pre-Hellboy history.
