Little Roquefort
St. John · 1952–1953 · 9 issues
About the series
Little Roquefort, a playful and mischievous mouse, starred in his own nine-issue series from St. John Publishing in the early 1950s. The comic is best remembered for the lively, expressive artwork of Jim Tyer, whose distinctive, rubbery style brought a unique energy to the character's slapstick adventures. A short-lived but charming piece of the era's funny-animal genre, it showcases Tyer's singular cartooning talent at its most unbridled.
