In 1935, Cupples & Leon collected Harold Gray's iconic newspaper strip into a single comic book issue as part of their Wonder Chest of Famous Comics line. This reprint volume introduced a new generation of readers to the plucky, resourceful orphan Annie and her loyal dog Sandy, as they navigated Depression-era adventures with optimism and grit.
