A revival of Winsor McCay’s classic dreamland strip, this 1969–1981 series from French publisher Horay collected the original, groundbreaking newspaper pages in two handsome volumes. While the art remains McCay’s alone, the project was shepherded by scholars Claude Moliterni and Pierre Couperie, who helped reintroduce the masterwork to a European audience. It stands as an early, important archival edition of one of comics' most visually influential fantasies.
