Little Iodine
Dell · 1950–1962 · 56 issues
About the series
Jimmy Hatlo’s irrepressible comic-strip creation, Little Iodine, made the jump to her own Dell Comics series from 1950 to 1962, running for 56 issues. Hatlo himself wrote and drew the title character’s mischievous adventures, with Al Scaduto later joining as a regular artist. A brash, wisecracking little girl who delighted in upending adult authority, Little Iodine was a popular fixture of mid-century humor comics, offering a sharp, affectionate satire of suburban family life.
