Little Ego

A cheeky, adult-oriented erotic fantasy series published by Heavy Metal, Little Ego (2006–present) follows the sensual adventures of its titular heroine through a surreal, dreamlike landscape. Created by artist and writer Vittorio Giardino, the series is a playful, explicit homage to Winsor McCay’s classic Little Nemo in Slumberland, swapping childhood whimsy for unabashed, stylish eroticism. Though only one issue has been released so far, its fusion of high-art illustration and risqué humor marks a distinctive, if brief, entry in Heavy Metal’s tradition of boundary-pushing adult comics.
