Little Annie Rooney

Little Annie Rooney, launched by David McKay in 1935, was a single-issue comic based on the long-running newspaper strip of the same name. Though it only produced one issue, it stands as an early example of a syndicated strip making the leap to its own comic book during the Golden Age. The series is notable for bringing the wholesome, adventurous spirit of its newspaper counterpart to a new format.
