Les voyages de Jhen

From 2005 onward, Casterman has published Les voyages de Jhen, a historical adventure series that follows the travels of its medieval protagonist across real European landmarks. The series is most associated with writer and artist Jacques Martin, who originated the character, though later volumes have been handled by other creative teams. Its significance lies in its meticulous, educational approach to history and architecture, blending fictional narrative with detailed period settings. With 18 issues released to date, it remains a thoughtful entry in the Franco-Belgian bande dessinée tradition.
