Les Tigres volants

About the series
In the late 1990s, French publisher Soleil launched Les Tigres volants, a five-issue miniseries that reimagined the legendary Flying Tigers of World War II through a stylized, action-adventure lens. The series is most closely associated with writer and artist Jean-Yves Mitton, whose dynamic, detailed art brought the aerial combat and wartime drama to life. Though brief, Les Tigres volants stands as a vivid example of Soleil's commitment to high-concept historical fiction in the European comic tradition.
