Les scorpions du Désert

About the series
In the late 1970s, Hugo Pratt launched a gritty, episodic series for Casterman following a motley band of British soldiers and adventurers in the North African desert during World War II. Over three decades, Pratt, later joined by Pierre Wazem, crafted seven standalone stories that blend historical intrigue with the author's signature, ink-washed style. Though a minor work in Pratt's larger bibliography, Les scorpions du Désert offers a more grounded, morally complex counterpoint to his famous Corto Maltese adventures.
