Les Pieds Nickelés

From 1990 to 1995, France Loisirs revived the classic French comic Les Pieds Nickelés in a 26-issue series, anchored by the distinctive, energetic artwork of longtime series artist René Pellos. This collection brought the anarchic, scheming trio of Croquignol, Filochard, and Ribouldingue to a new generation, preserving the series’ irreverent, slapstick humor and its status as a cornerstone of French bande dessinée. Pellos’s dynamic linework and the characters’ enduring comic misadventures ensured this run remained a faithful and lively continuation of the beloved property.
