Les Pieds Nickelés

A French revival of the classic anarchic comic series, this 1978–1982 run from H. Veyrier brought the Pieds Nickelés—the trio of Croquignol, Filochard, and Ribouldingue—into a new era. Spanning eight issues, the series continued their tradition of absurd, satirical misadventures, with the character designs and slapstick humor most strongly associated with the work of artist René Pellos. It stands as a key late-period chapter for one of the most enduring and beloved creations in French comics.
