Les pèlerins de Phaël

A single-issue series from the French publisher Nucléa (later Nucléa²), Les pèlerins de Phaël debuted in 2001 and remains an open-ended project. The story follows pilgrims on a journey through a richly imagined science-fantasy world, a premise that stands alone in its concise, self-contained form. While the series has not yet continued beyond its first issue, its atmospheric artwork and conceptual ambition have left a quiet mark on European independent comics.
