About the series
In the late 1990s, French publisher Soleil launched Les Ailes du Phaéton, a nine-issue fantasy series that unfolded across a mythic, otherworldly landscape. Primarily written by Crisse, Didier Tarquin, and Isabelle Plongeon, with Serge Fino providing the most consistent artwork, the series explores themes of destiny and rebellion within a richly imagined universe. Its blend of epic storytelling and striking visual design makes it a distinctive, if brief, entry in the European bande dessinée tradition.
