About the series
From 1973 to 1979, Editions Héritage presented Le Tombeau de Dracula, a 59-issue French-language series that collected and translated classic American horror stories, primarily from Marvel's Tomb of Dracula. Anchored by the brooding, atmospheric art of Gene Colan and scripts from Marv Wolfman, the series also featured tales by Gardner Fox, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby, blending Gothic horror with superhero-era storytelling. As one of the key horror imports of the 1970s, it introduced French readers to a darker, more sophisticated take on the vampire mythos, cementing Dracula as a tragic, complex antihero.
