About the series
Cabu’s Le Grand Duduche (1967–1982, Dargaud) follows the lanky, hapless high-schooler Duduche through six issues of gentle, absurdist satire. Created and drawn entirely by the celebrated French cartoonist Cabu, the strip skewers the pomposity of school life with its recurring cast—the long-suffering Proviseur and his elusive daughter. A cornerstone of French comic humor, it captures the spirit of the late ’60s and ’70s with a light, knowing touch.
