About the series
In 2007, Image Comics launched Lazarus, a taut three-issue miniseries written by Diego Cortes and illustrated by Juan Ferreyra, who also shared writing duties. The story follows a man who, after a near-death experience, finds himself with the ability to see and communicate with the dead, a gift that draws him into a dark conspiracy. Though brief, the series stands out for Ferreyra's lush, atmospheric artwork and its tight, character-driven horror, making it a memorable cult entry from the period.
