In 1957, the Finnish publisher Kustannus Oy Pecos Bill launched a comic series based on the beloved collie Lassie, running for 50 issues through 1963. Each issue prominently featured a photograph on its cover rather than traditional comic art, giving the series a distinctive, almost photorealistic feel. This adaptation brought the classic dog's adventures to a new medium, offering Finnish readers a visual companion to the famous stories.
