Land of the Lost Comics

Published by EC Comics from 1946 to 1948, Land of the Lost Comics ran for nine issues as a whimsical fantasy series for younger readers. Most frequently written by Isabel Manning Hewson and Ed Wheelan, and illustrated primarily by Olive Bailey and Wheelan, it transported children to a magical realm of friendly giants, talking animals, and gentle adventures. A charming but short-lived precursor to EC's later, more famous horror and science-fiction titles, this series showcases the publisher's early foray into imaginative storytelling.
