Lancelot

From 2014, Italian publisher Editoriale Cosmo brought this two-issue French-style fantasy comic to readers, written by Jean-Luc Istin and Olivier Peru with art by Alexe. It reimagines the Arthurian legend through a dark, modern lens, focusing on Lancelot's conflicted knightly code and his doomed love for Guinevere. Though brief in its run, the series stands out for its moody, painted artwork and its willingness to explore the moral ambiguities of Camelot's most famous champion.
