A short-lived but fondly remembered sister publication to LaLa, Bessatsu LaLa ran for 11 issues from 1982 to 1985 under Hakusensha. While it featured a variety of creators, artist Takizawa Mishi was the most frequent contributor across its run. This magazine offered an additional, more experimental space for shōjo manga during a fertile period for the genre, making it a notable footnote for fans of the era and publisher.
