In the mid-2010s, the French publisher Wetta-Vestron unleashed La tombe de la terreur (2014–2016), a six-issue horror anthology series that brought together a rotating team of creators—most notably writers Jason Crawley and Frédéric Wetta, and artists Mike Hoffman, Maurizio Ercole, and Rock Baker. Each issue plunged into a distinct, self-contained nightmare, exploring the macabre and the monstrous without a single overarching plot, making it a tight, eclectic showcase of European comic horror. Its brief run earned a cult following for its willingness to vary tone and style while staying grimly focused on terror.
