La légion Saint-Georges

In 2010, Caraïbéditions launched La légion Saint-Georges, a historical comic series that reimagines the life of the Chevalier de Saint-Georges, the celebrated 18th-century fencer, composer, and soldier of Afro-Caribbean descent. The series centers on his leadership of a diverse legion of free men of color during the French Revolution, blending swashbuckling adventure with overlooked chapters of European history. Though only a single issue has been published to date, the project stands out for its focus on a remarkable but under-represented figure, bringing a fresh perspective to the bande dessinée tradition.
