La Famille Fenouillard

A pioneering French comic strip from the late 19th century, La Famille Fenouillard follows the comedic misadventures of a bourgeois family as they travel the world, often with disastrously funny results. Published by Armand Colin from 1893 to 1973, the series is most closely associated with its creator, Christophe (Georges Colomb), whose detailed, witty artwork and satirical take on middle-class life helped establish the language of the comic strip in France.
